You can expect a live auction with works of international artists in glass, painting, printmaking, sculpture and ceramics.

Please note the Covid protection measures that currently apply in Bavaria: Wearing masks is required in the entire building, with the exception when sitting at the assigned seats in the auction room. Access to the event can only be granted to persons who provide proof of being vaccinated, recovered or tested.

For two years, the pandemic has caused existential damage to the international summer academy Bild-Werk Frauenau. Courses and entire course blocks had to be canceled repeatedly. Participants withdrew or could not cross the borders. With a massive increase in the workload, around ¼ of the expected income was lost, and subsidies were used up prematurely.
Although the pandemic hit artists particularly hard, teachers at the academy are committed to the continued existence of Bild-Werk Frauenau with high-quality art donations. By participating in the auction and purchasing one or more of the objects on offer, you are actively contributing to ensuring the survival of Bild-Werk and building a bridge to the future!

The organizer of the auction is Glaskörper Kulturverein eV, which promotes activities and projects in the East Bavarian-Czech border region to support (glass) culture. Auctioneer is Jürgen Huber, art activist, politician, painter.

The detailed auction catalog will be sent upon request or you can download here. Written bids are welcome. However, these must be signed and received by Bild-Werk Frauenau or registered in good time. A buyer's premium will not be charged. |
