Activities and Projects

The International Academy Bild-Werk Frauenau is unique in its integration of the cultural heritage and an artistic approach to the medium glass with the visual arts in an international context. In addition, Bild-Werk Frauenau plays a central role in regional and transregional culture through the organization of educational and cultural events, national and EU projects for artistic and cultural exchange, networking and further education.
Focal points of these activities and projects of Bild-Werk Frauenau are:

• Encountering and promoting young artists and cultural professionals.
• Cross-border culture of the East-Bavarian-Czech (glass) regions,
• Preservation and further development of the European cultural heritage of glass in regional and international exchange, and the networking of artistic studio glass and craft glass design.
• Inclusion work with people with and without disabilities based on joint creative and artistic activities.
