NEW LIFE FOR OUR ARTISTS’ VILLA
The artists’ villa in Frauenau is a place rich in history and creative energy. For decades, it was the home of Erwin and Gretel Eisch and an open house for exchange, hospitality, and artistic freedom. Today, this special place needs our support.
We aim to preserve the villa, carefully restore it, and breathe new life into it. In the future, it will continue as an open artists’ house – a place for meeting, working, and inspiration. Together with the Summer Academy, it will become part of the emerging Glass Culture Campus.
Our benefit auction helps make this possible.

Who created the art objects?
The works offered are generous donations from artists from around the world who are connected to Bild-Werk. They reflect the full range of artistic practices represented at Bild-Werk – from glass, painting, and printmaking to ceramics and sculpture.
Many of the works were created directly at Bild-Werk, shaped by encounters, collaboration, and exchange across artistic disciplines. These collaborations in particular – made possible by the unique atmosphere of the academy – make these pieces one of a kind.
